Caring for your New Puppy
There are so many varieties of cats and puppies on sale these days and having puppies as pets has grown to be a popular pastime. There are pet shops selling everything from dog dry skin treatment products to natural dog food and shampoo. Although you can get a puppy easily from a dog care center that has dogs for sale, taking care of them at home is not a straightforward task. On the first night your puppy enters your home, there is a good chance that it will keep up awake all night. So, it is important to know the various ways of keeping your new puppy calm and happy.

There is very little you can do about the initial wretchedness of the pup as dogs are creatures of routine and practice. When you are separating the pup from the mother and littermates, it is normal for it to feel uncomfortable in the new environment. This lack of comfort will go on until the pup develops a bond with you. The pup is a lot like a young kid - it may cry often; beating the pup for this is not going to help in any way. Beating will only make the pup have more fear for you and this doesn't improve the bond. If the puppy cries to make you to come to him for the initial few nights, your continuous appearance, whether to yell or comfort, will only help in strengthening the idea that he can make you show up by crying.

If you can bear the sound of crying all through the night, you can place the puppy's crate next to your bed. If you turn out to be very annoyed with your pup, you can place the crate in another room and leave the puppy with some food and water. Ask the breeder for a cloth or soft toy that was with the puppy's mom and littermates, and keep it in his sleeping place. The familiar scent can be soothing to the pup. Place a sheet above the front door of the crate if your pup is facing issues sleeping well in his crate. Let the side air holes be open. The pup will soon discover that when the door is covered, it is time to snooze.

When your pup is outside, he will require a firmly fenced backyard, shadow, and plenty of water. Never leave your pup unaccompanied outside for lengthy periods of time. He may learn bad habits like digging and barking, and will become lonesome and harder to train.

He can also become too warm or chilly or he may try to flee. So see that you spend more time with your puppy; this will also increase the training speed. Training session can be more easily done with the help of dog toys and some appreciation on every activity that is done right can work well.
